The team from Bridge Books can often be found at Christian Events in the South West of England, where you may find us at a book table or exhibition stand! Earlier this year we were at the Christian Resources Exhibition and most recently at the Spree youth weekend. We’ve also done book tables at special events like Christian theatre productions and in churches.
We do our best to make Christian resources as accessible as possible which means going where the people are! Of course, we don’t only do this at Christian Events in the South West. This year we were also at the Devon County Show from 30th June to 2nd July, in the Churches tent!

Spree South West
Spree South West is a popular camping and activity weekend for youth at Westpoint each year. Organised by Urban Saints and South West Youth Ministries (SWYM) it is a powerful outreach for young people aged from 8 to 17 years. Spree went very well for us in June despite rain coming in the tent and spoiling some stock! There was a great rush for bangles and necklaces, books and of course, Bibles.
The Unofficial Bible for Minecrafters was particularly popular at Spree. This Minecraft inspired Bible is perfect for relating Bible stories to young gamers. Written for 7-11 year olds this is a valuable gift and resource that s perfect for sparking an interest in God’s Word from a young age.
The Christian Resources Exhibition
Bridge Bookshop has also exhibited at the Christian Resources Exhibition in Exeter a number of times with a range of special event offers. In February 22 we also hosted a number of book signings by local Christian authors. Lots of people visited our stand and many resources went out into God’s Kingdom to do His work in the hands of many.
The Hiding Place
Gary and Mary were pleased to be on hand with a wide range of resources at The Hiding Place at Riverside Church in 2021. This theatrical production by Oddments Theatre Co tells the famous story of Corrie Ten Boom and how she concealed Jewish people during the Holocaust. Copies of Corrie’s book, The Hiding Place were available after the play along with other special event offers.
These are just some of the many external outreaches that Gary and Mary Lee have participated in. The Bridge Books team is available to set up book tables at churches, and other Christian events in the South West.
